TORO TORO LAUNCHES A SECOND VOLUME OF THE NEW EXCLUSIVE CONCEPT MISTURA PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE DIVERSITY OF LATIN AMERICA

The six new dishes which are a part of Mistura are available as an extension of the a la carte menu and will change on a regular basis 


 

Toro Toro, an eight-time award-winning pan-Latin American restaurant introduced an exclusive concept; Mistura. A imaginative blend of Peruvian inspired dishes and a gastronomic representation of the Latin culture and its traditions.

Chef Edgar Hurtado’s love for Peru’s culinary heritage started when he was a young boy often visiting his grandmother’s restaurant who would encourage him to experiment with flavors and ingredients. You will sense the love and passion that goes into each dish curated by him in every bite.

The second volume of Mistura alongside the first, highlights the Peruvian favorites divided geographically between the jungle, the sea and the mountains. Entailing entrees such as Kanishka – which is inspired by the Antes mountains in Peru; Using Salmon to represent the seas, authentic Peruvian ingredients and delicate Andean touches. Brisket Waffles which are street food inspired, riddled with strong influences of local ajies. Bandeja de Pato – Tradition and modernity combined in one bite from the north of Peru; Misturas acclaimed Duck Cazuela with a touch of orange gives an incredible balance of flavors. Furthermore, Chef Edgar Hurtado’s Asado de Tira – inspired by Amazonas, is boundless combination of patacones from the jungle of Peru and 24 hours braised short rib in amazonico glaze. Lastly, Costilla de Cordero – A tribute to Nikkei food, using Asian products and Latin influences; We get explosion of flavors in one bite.

Mistura is a culinary gateway, giving guests an extraordinary perspective and a unique experience of Latin cuisine.

We were surprised by the positive response after introducing Mistura concept in December last year and it motivated me to create another set of innovative dishes”

Toro Toro restaurant’s lively and family-friendly ambience is ideal for couples, families and large groups. It is one of the three Sandoval’s restaurants in Qatar, along with ‘Zengo’ and ‘Maya.’ The pan-Latin American offers a selection of top-quality Latin spirits and refreshing cocktails. Its sultry interior pays homage to the fires of the traditional Churrasco grill with accents of dark charcoal walls, animal motifs, textured natural sculptures and leather furniture running throughout.

Toro Toro is one of three outlets inspired by Chef Richard Sandoval alongside ‘Zengo’ and ‘Maya’. Its venue fuses traditional and contemporary tastes while maintaining a vibrant yet sophisticated atmosphere suitable for families, couples and large groups. A warm yet luxurious set-up alongside a selection of the finest Latin-inspired cocktails in one of Doha’s favorite restaurants.

Located at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski, Doha, Toro Toro Mistura is available as an extension of the a la carte menu from Saturday to Thursday from 6pm to 12am and Friday from 7pm to 12am.
